Diversion Awareness Education

Product diversion is a serious problem for American businesses. It occurs when manufacturers or corrupt salon owners sell professional salon products to third party buyers outside of the professional industry. They then wind up on the shelves of major retail businesses, who are otherwise unauthorized to sell these products. It's a practice that undercuts the market of American small businesses, and it's not only highly unethical, it's also very illegal.

The only way to combat product diversion is through consumer education. When you buy professional beauty products from non-salon based stores, you may be contributing to an epidemic that's sideswiping fair market practices of American retail goods and damaging the reputation of respectable product manufacturers. Many of these diverted products are tampered with and often return to retail stores with diluted formulas or as counterfeit products, which are less effective at best and harmful to your health at worst. Even still, many unauthorized retailers will use their reputation as a discount store to trick the consumer into thinking they're getting the best price for the professional product, when in fact it might still be cheaper at an actual salon. So, why pay more for a product from a retailer who can't even guarantee their product is safe or effective?
